Full description
The IT117B-3 Tilting Desicant Filling Machine is an essential tool for glassworks engaged in high-performance insulating glass unit (IGU) production. The use of desiccant salts in this process offers significant benefits to the final product, including a notable improvement in thermal insulation, reduction of condensation, superior acoustic insulation, and enhanced structural resistance.
The tilting version, with its “smart” design, allows for easy insertion of desiccant salts into the IGU spacer profiles without the operator needing to climb a ladder to load the tank. Our machine is designed to be simple and functional, offering the operator the ability to work easily with profiles of up to 2600 mm in length with the collection tray installed. The 60-liter salt tank is located at the top of the unit, and the loading process occurs with the table positioned horizontally. Through operator control, a piston adjusts the movement of the table, allowing it to tilt up to a maximum inclination of 30°. This adjustment ensures complete filling of the spacer bar. Thanks to the use of a vibrator, the salts are precisely and controllably distributed into the spacers.
A key feature of our product is the upper tank with an airtight lid, which can be equipped with a heating element to maintain the desiccant’s hydrophilic capabilities. Additionally, a double-bristle strip at the salt outlet allows for easier insertion of spacer bars while reducing salt loss during loading when the tilting mechanism is raised. These features ensure that the salts maintain their optimal performance over time, contributing significantly to the quality and durability of the IGU, while also reducing waste during the production process.
