The TAURO IT104T Semi-Automatic Butyl Extruder is the ideal solution for small-medium glassworks, offering excellent sealing performance at a lower cost. The machine is designed for the hot application of butyl onto aluminum profiles used in insulating glass unit (IGU) production, with operations carried out through a semi-automatic cycle that minimizes operator work, ensuring optimal hermetic sealing and reducing the risk of leaks in the IGU.

The machine’s load capacity is 8 kg and ensures precise extrusion of the same amount of butyl on both sides of the spacer bar, for thicknesses ranging from 5 mm to 32 mm. Some stages of the butyl application process are automated, while others require manual adjustments by the operator. The extrusion speed can reach up to 38 meters per minute. The semi-automatic version differs from the fully automatic version in that it requires manual intervention by the operator to open the extrusion nozzles, adjust the oil pressure, control the conveyor belt speed, and initiate the butyl recharging process when depleted (recharge function is selectable from the touchscreen).

The 7-inch color touchscreen panel with an intuitive interface simplifies production and allows the operator to monitor all machine functions and operations in real time. Our butyl machine is designed to reduce electricity consumption. All available operator controls operate at low voltage and feature safety protections in accordance with European regulations to prevent access to hazardous parts of the machine.
