The IT199 HotMelt Extruder is an ideal solution for glassworks requiring precise operations and flexibility in production. This tool is designed for applying sealant between the glass and the frames of insulating glass units (IGUs), relying on the fusion of polyisobutylene (PIB) thermoplastic material. As a thermoplastic adhesive, melted PIB forms a secure bond with the glass, ensuring a tight and durable seal—essential for guaranteeing product quality and longevity.
Equipped with wheels for easy mobility, our machine comes with a heated gun and hose, with a length of 3 meters. The extrusion kit includes 5 nozzles—4 in brass and 1 in rubber—to adapt to various operational needs. Its versatility is further highlighted by the digital adjustment and display of the working temperature, which ranges from 160°C to 200°C, and the ability to adjust the flow rate up to 0.8 kg/min through a safety valve. The tank, made of aluminum, ensures strength and durability, while the bronze-made pump offers increased resistance to overpressure. All heating elements are made of stainless steel, ensuring operator safety during material extrusion.
The extruder is designed with a range of advanced safety mechanisms, including the automatic locking of the pump in case of anomalies in the heating system and protection against operating in cold temperatures. All operator controls operate at low voltage and are equipped with safety protections in accordance with European regulations to prevent access to hazardous parts of the machine. Our machinery complies with CE certification.
