The Glass Tilting Conveyor ITTB for IG lines is designed to transport and, if necessary, tilt single glass panes or insulating glass units (IGUs), switching from vertical to horizontal position and vice versa quickly and safely. Initially designed to be placed at the press exit and serve as a horizontal platform for manual IGU sealing, its current configuration can be added or considered as a replacement for any conveyor at any point in the edging, washing, or pressing process.

This machine helps optimize space in the glass factory by giving the conveyor a dual function. The transition from vertical to horizontal occurs through a special tilting system using pneumatic cylinders and polyurethane rollers. Unlike the “flippable” version, this solution stands out because when in the horizontal position, the conveyor fully retracts to its original depth, further reducing its occupied space while ensuring glass stability. The conveyor’s surface has wheels specially designed for glass handling, including Low-E glass. It is adaptable to existing production line machines and can reach a transfer speed of up to 40 meters per minute, ensuring a continuous and fast production flow. The conveyor is made of a steel structure treated with high-resistance epoxy paint, on which various systems are implemented for glass pane movement. It features a layout of wheels positioned from bottom to top, or it can be equipped with vulcanized EPDM rollers.

The independent and retractable drives, along with the horizontally adjustable platform, allow the operator to work with maximum flexibility. Upon request, the conveyor can be equipped with two suction cups to secure the glass when it is in the horizontal position, providing additional stability. Tilting can be done manually by the operator or integrated into the control system of the machine to which the conveyor is added, using a touchscreen control panel.
