The IT162 Freezer for Thiokol Extruder Machine is an essential complement to the manual extruder, playing a crucial role in preventing the hardening of sealants when the silicone extruder is not in use for extended periods. This device ensures an overall precise, uniform, and high-quality extrusion.

The machine features a freezing compartment where the mixing gun is placed (down to -45°C), specifically designed to freeze bi-component silicones. This freezing process virtually eliminates any reaction between the two materials, thus avoiding product waste or the need for solvents. Additionally, the freezer is equipped with a heating compartment where the cylinder can quickly warm the mixing gun back to room temperature, allowing the operator to promptly resume sealing operations.

It’s important to keep in mind that ambient temperature affects the freezing process. At temperatures above 27°C, heat slows the cooling process; therefore, the higher the temperature, the slower it will be for the freezer to reach the correct operating temperature. All operator controls operate at low voltage and are equipped with safety protections in accordance with European regulations to prevent access to hazardous parts of the machine.
