The Automatic Gas Filling Press from the TAURO series represents the optimal solution for glass companies engaged in the production of insulating glass units for doors, windows, and large-scale architectural components.
Ensuring uniform high-quality pressing, the press is fully automated and equipped with sensors allowing for automatic recognition of glass dimensions, along with an automatic gas filling and glass pressing system, it minimizes the risks of operator errors. The press offers a wide range of applications, including pressing of double, triple, shaped, and structural insulating glass units (staggered glass on two sides with standard version, with optional on all four sides), ensuring precise and high-quality processing for thicknesses up to 60 mm (extendable up to 80 mm upon request).
Designed for glass up to 3000 mm in length (extendable over 3500 mm with optionals), glass transport occurs through friction rollers in polyurethane mounted on bearings and bushings, ensuring support and integrity of glass panes. Among the distinctive features of our solution is a vacuum generation system in the press, with a vane pump, service tank, and valves on the suction cups, reducing the risk of glass breakage in case of power interruption and minimizing electricity consumption.
The pressing process begins with the transfer of the first glass pane from the washing machine to the alignment profile conveyor for quality control. Once the quality is verified, the glass is transferred inside the press where it is held in place mechanically, ensuring perfect alignment between the various glass panes to be assembled. The press movable panel, through suction cups operated by a vane pump for vacuum, takes over the first glass pane. Thereafter, the second glass pane is transferred to the alignment profile conveyor, where the operator verifies the quality and applies the butyl spacer bar. After quality control and spacer application, the second glass pane is transferred into the press, stopping in the same position as the previous pane. The press movable panel then approaches the fixed panel by a calculated distance, determined after autonomously detecting the thickness of the glass panes. Subsequently, gas begins to fill the space between the panes through nozzles positioned underneath until it is completely filled. For triple glazing, this phase of the process is repeated. Once assembled, the unit is pressed and transported to the outlet conveyor at a maximum speed of 28 meters per minute.
The software interface provides the operator with complete freedom in managing each phase of production, ensuring practical and efficient control. Additionally, the TAURO press can be operated manually via the touchscreen, even in the event of electronic component failures. All controls available to the operator operate at low voltage and are equipped with protections compliant with European standards to prevent access to hazardous parts of the machine. Our machinery complies with CE certification.
Addition of LED lights on the outlet conveyor for quality control.
QUALITY CONTROL’2 “SCANNER”Addition of a conveyor with Glass Scanner built in for quality control of washed glass.
STRUCTURAL GLASS (PRESS)Allow for production of structural glass using automatic electromechanical positioners controlled through PLC and operator panel.
HIGHER HEIGHT FOR SPACER APPLICATIONAllows for the assembly of spacer bars at a greater height (distance) from the glass edges, exceeding the standard 3-4 mm.
INCREASED GLASS LENGHT PRESSING “CON RIPRESA”Pressing cycle run in 2 phases to produce glass with lengths up to 3500 mm.
INCREASED GLASS LENGHT PRESSING “MEZZA LASTRA”This option enables the production of glass panes with lengths up to 3210 mm in a single production cycle.
PRODUCTION LABELSImplementation of printer and software for printing labels with manufacturer logo and product characteristics.
GLASS SUPPORT WHEELSSupport wheels for slabs/glass made of plastic material with assembled polyurethane ring.
TILTING CONVEYORAddition of a tilting conveyor/roller conveyor to adapt to various needs.
ROTATING CORNER CONVEYORThe 90° rotating corner conveyor can be installed both before the machine inlet conveyor and after the outlet conveyor. Its standard length is 3500 mm. It requires a space of 4000 mm x 4000 mm. Allows rotation (0°-90°) of glass up to 3500 mm in length Enables the integration of new machines into the production line even if space in the building would not allow it
ADDITIONAL CONVEYORThe additional conveyor can be positioned both before the machine inlet conveyor and after the outlet conveyor. It occupies no more depth than the machine itself. Allows processing of glass up to 6000 mm in length After the outlet conveyor, with 2 motors, it becomes a storage zone for smaller glass sizes
