Event Presentation
On June 22, 2024, Itech, in collaboration with Vetreria Cittadellese, hosted an Open House event aimed at glassworks, window manufacturers, architects, and other industry professionals. The event provided a valuable opportunity to explore the advanced technologies and production processes of both companies.
Itech opened the doors of its headquarters, allowing participants to experience firsthand the cutting-edge machinery and technologies that characterize the company. This tour highlighted Itech’s commitment to innovation and continuous research for advanced technological solutions in the sector.
During the visit to Vetreria Cittadellese, participants delved into glass processing techniques, with a particular focus on product quality and safety. The glassworks experts illustrated the innovative methods used to ensure high standards, answering questions and engaging directly with visitors.
The Open House proved to be a success, fostering the exchange of knowledge and creating new collaboration opportunities among the various professionals present. The event underscored the importance of synergy between leading companies in the sector to promote development and technological innovation.
Following is a photo gallery of the event, documenting the highlights of the day, presentations, and interactions among participants.
The day began with a company presentation during which Itech’s founding values and history were illustrated. The discussion addressed crucial topics for the insulating glass sector, including safety, innovation, sustainability, and incentives for purchasing machinery. Particular attention was given to Itech’s new solutions and the fruitful collaboration with Vetreria Cittadellese, a virtuous example of synergy between manufacturer and glassworks.
The event continued with speeches from the Deputy Mayor of Tombolo, Ms. Vanda Marchetti, and Honorable De Poli, who emphasized the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises for the Italian productive fabric. Both highlighted how initiatives of this kind can stimulate growth and innovation in the sector, strengthening the role of SMEs in the national economy.
Factory Tour at Itech
Participating glassworks had the opportunity to visit the Itech factory, observing up close the insulating glass production lines. Specifically, they could see and touch our TAURO lines, developed with more competitive prices and suitable for the needs of small and medium-sized glassworks with productions of up to 300 insulating glass panels per day. These lines include washers, panel presses with gas injection, and sealing robots, capable of autonomously producing double, triple, shaped, and offset insulating glass with dimensions up to 3000 x 2500 mm and thicknesses up to 80 mm.
Additionally, particular interest was aroused by the demonstration of the APUS dry edging machine and the new restyled TAURO semi-automatic butyl extruder. The APUS edger, unique in its kind, is the most compact machine on the market at just 7.7 meters and is designed to optimize space. At the same time, our solution is designed to completely remove water from the production process, allowing glassworks significant economic savings.
On the other hand, the new TAURO semi-automatic butyl extruder from 8 kg, with remarkable ease of use, captured the attention of those present. Our solution handles profiles with variable thicknesses from 5 to 32 mm at a notable speed of 38 meters per minute.

Subsequently, guests were welcomed at Vetreria Cittadellese, where they could witness the insulating glass production process with the complete TAURO line and the APUS edger, providing a practical demonstration of the machinery and technologies presented during the event. The day concluded with a “starred” buffet, an informal opportunity to relax and exchange opinions. This convivial moment further promoted networking among participants, creating an atmosphere of collaboration and sharing.
Conclusion
The “Open House 2024” event was a great success, attracting wide participation from Italian glassworks, who showed a keen interest in the solutions proposed by the company. The event demonstrated how technological innovation and artisanal tradition can coexist and strengthen each other, contributing to the growth and development of the insulating glass sector.
